I hate when parents feel the need to be brutally honest with their kids. Telling them the truth about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny is one thing, but giving them an itemized list of their faults doesn't do them any favors. Chance is, they know if they're not the best at soccer, and they don't need their parents to tell them. That's why I think the moral outrage about participation trophies is so funny. If the only medal you're getting at the end-of-year dance banquet is a participation trophy, you know exactly where you stand in terms of your skills, even if you're only 10.

Parents are some of the only people in your life who will see you with rose-colored glasses, so you might as well be that beacon of support for your kids. I you agree with that sentiment, the dysfunctional parenting posts below might be a prime source of entertainment.

    Seeking spiritual cleanse or something - not sure! There's a lot of psychic recommendations, but I'm not sure that's what we want.     Jan babe turned 3mos on the 12th.... Surprise! We're pregnant.... again this will be #7 we'll bring home if all goes well.     Not asking for medical advice... but opinion. Both my daughters, myself and my hubby has been coughing for a month now. The last 3 or 4 days both my girls got a whole lot worse with their coughing. Last night my girl was coughing so much she has struggling to catch her breath.     Maybe they're overperscribed when a kid is only sick for a couple of days, but if they're sick for a month, I would be begging for those antibiotics

    or Yikes. I wouldn't even hesitate if my baby was sick to give them assistance getting better. If you're not using antibiotics all the time there shouldn't be a concern. IMO 2h Like Reply 11 Just make sure you finish the course no matter what if you start it, if it's not frequent antibiotics and you finish the course it's not going to cause extreme harm, I know it's scary though!     I need help/advice We adopted a teenager, our first child. He got a pair of wireless earbuds that he uses with his mp3 player. I didn't adopt him to move in a walk around the house listening to music. I want family time and I don't find it necessary to just aimlessly walk around and listen to music.
